  It's not AI that's the issue. It's the use of AI and who directs it. As always it's the people in control that are the problem.

  He has a point: many people see "tech change" as inevitable. But there's no law that says that new technologies MUST be implemented.

  Focus on learning a trade. No AI can fix your plumbing, sewing..etc. People still need people.

  Great clip to remind me not to spend my money. Not even to expand my shop - people won't have money to buy stuff. Pay off my mortgage and have a buffer instead

  AI doesn't pay tax, doesn't have a mortgage, doesn't consume, doesn't have a pension that invests in AI companies. It's classic tragedy of the commons.

  Nobody wants to call and speak with AI though. As much as I am a fan in other ways, I will skip the AI chatbots and will demand a person right away.

  I usually am not against technological advancements with the caveat that they do not impede or hinder the human experience or human progress. With what AI can already do, by replicating many artists, writers, musicians, etc., it's so clear there is an inevitability to the danger and threat this poses to our future. This is especially true because this is an unprecedented front in advancement, so mishandling is not just likely, but guaranteed. It's sad. Social media has already isolated so many people by providing artificial validation, dopamine, and a sense of "belonging". And now, with AI, this will only get worse. We won't even get to experience the human experience, even through a screen. Everything will be a simulation. What a sad future.

  Good luck getting an AI bot to explain and resolve complex billing issues with a customer over the phone.
