  4:32, don't worry Gem, it's a canon event that no one can escape. When building the Notre Dame, they had to removed several buttresses and rebuild them because they were in the wrong place.

  15:58 Just so you know, Gem, if you use a potent sulfur block underwater without using lava or magma, it will create bubbles without a geyser, perfect for adding the effect of a waterfall or a fountain at the bottom.

  16:50 for the fountains compass you could label each direction in the same color as the corresponding wing in the nether hub. Just a little idea in case you expand that forecourt in front of your base a bit with some more detailing. 😇

  Hey Gem, you know that Doc is flying through your base and glass centerpiece, do you? I think it could be fun to reserve him a flying tunnel, but like charge him a diamond for each pass, maybe by playing a record message with a sculk sensor.

  “Not bad”????? Not only is the compass design GORGEOUS, it reminds me a lot of common depictions of the North Star in media. Where it shines brighter than other stars around it, and is a guiding light for whoever sets their gaze upon it. It almost adds a homey vibe to the base, like it’s making itself a “home away from home” for other hermits (which really fits Gem’s very sweet personality imo)

  First the cherry wood when you were building a giant cherry tree in s9, then the eyeblossoms that fit perfectly in your s10 base and the nautilus after you terraformed a river, and now the geysers just in time for the fountain along with cinnabar Yeah, at this point I think it's safe to say the devs are very big Gem fans and definitely watch your videos for inspiration on what to add next lol

  I just got massive nostalgia for Grian’s season 7 base from the thumbnail Edit: even the way she said “Let’s go!” before the timelapse. She and Grian are really rubbing off on each other.
