his last album as the weeknd… it feels so weird to say, but im glad i was apart of the many people who got to enjoy his music, this is by far the most amazing album of the year, even though the first month of 2025 has just ended, i know nothing can beat this, forever grateful for how many times his music has been my safe space, love you abel❤

I discovered Abel during the darkest place in my life. Within a year, I lost my dad to cancer and my husband walked out of my life. As a result I lost everything. I was in such a dark place. I would lock myself in my room in the dark and listen to his music all night. I had nothing and I had no one. His music was the only thing I had to look forward to. The only thing that made me feel understood. It made me feel like someone was in as dark and lonely of a place as I was. I was used to coming home to my family after work, until one day I came home to nothing and no one. A small, dark, cold and lonely space. But it was Abel’s music that got me through everything. I will love him forever and support his journey to the light. This makes me so happy for him. Thank you, Abel. You’ve been my angel on this earth.

Finished the album, and if I had to describe it it’s very euphoric. This album is absolutely insane, and a hell of a finish. 100% album of the year! So sad we’ll never get another album with the persona of the Weeknd.

After my seizure I had to comment. The Weekend is the defining voice of this generation for me. His retro synth pop style never miss for me.

The weeknd is what anybody can call an artist like literally. He always tries to send a message in what he does, he never just sings

Why does it feel like he’s still under appreciated even though he’s the biggest artist in the world? He’s the greatest artist of all time and I don’t say that blindly as I grew up a huge Michael Jackson, prince fan. I’d say he’s better by a mile as a pure ARTIST. There no other in history that’s been able to carry on a story from a dark beginning and been able to still carry on the story while evolving the music to fit commercial markets. He’s always going beyond for the fans and allowing the weeknd carachter to be watched like a long movie, each album being the next chapter. There’s literally no artist in history that I can think of that’s done this? How can someone that started from a dark past talking about hedonism, drugs , vulnerability been able to make mainstream hits and being able to disguise the darker messages behind a pop beat for your coworkers and aunties to listen to during the day. He perfectly planned his whole career from the beginning and knew how to keep the old fans engaged with him even though they may or may not like the route he took compared to his earlier work. He’s still allowing us to analyse and pick out the layers in each chapter. He’s literaly the Picasso of music.
