The amount of videos that keep pushing creatine have started to make me suspicious as to why?

I'm CKD 5, and I can't take creatine.......so, if I was him, I wouldn't make such bold claims.

He "can't find anybody that can't or shouldn't creatine"? He probably looked in the wrong place. Creatine can influence neurotransmitters like glutamate (the brain's primary excitatory chemical). For sensitive individuals, this can sometimes lead to an overactive nervous system, translating to feelings of anxiety, jitters, or irritability. Creatine also affects the body's methylation cycle. Some individuals (such as those with an MTHFR gene variant) are highly sensitive to methyl donors. This can cause surges in adrenaline and, consequently, anxiety or mood swings. So, yes, there definitely are people who cannot take creatine.

Cautionary tale… creatine requires more water intake. Between getting self dehydrated in TX humidity and not knowing I also had to increase water intake when taking creatine..My kidney filtration numbers dropped like a rock. Stopping creatine and working hard to stay hydrated brought it back up - but not to where it should be.

I took creatine powder pre-workout, 10 gr. Was the biggest mistake i have ever made and took 2 bottles until I realized. It caused me severe insomnia. But when i off creatine powder, my sleeps gradually recovered and restored

Most people think aging is the authority. I'd argue our daily decisions are. Strength, mobility, and resilience compound much like wealth does. Small choices, repeated long enough, become a completely different reality.

My roommate in college was a division 1 football player in the early 90's. He said that when the school bought a bunch of 50-gallon drums of creatine that EVERY single weight lifting record in the football weight room was broken. And multiple times.

It's crazy how a supplement discovered in 1832 is still surprising us with new benefits today.

Creatine doesn’t hurt kidneys if it’s within 3 g to 5 g about one tsp per day. Though drinking too much water may be bad for kidneys thus better stay within recommended limits, I guess, not more than 8 - 10 cups a day.

I took creatine for years. I did feel better then. I quit in 2020. I'll watch the full video. Maybe I should start taking it again.

I started trying to get my parents to start taking it last year on. Mostly for brain health and reduce muscle loss.

😂 (the hair loss card) I remember when my aunt and uncle gave my dad a clapper…he had been bald for years and had had a stroke and lost the use of one side of his body. My dad replied and said “ what am I supposed to smack my bald head with my one good hand”

I felt my hair thinned out after starting taking creatine. Read some studies that associated creatine with hair loss so I stopped. I guess this guy is proving me right 😅 I felt good and stronger while taking it though, should I start again?
