  Great first half for New Zealand As Football ⚽️ spreads more in popularity and given more footage on tv over there then there will be more world class players coming through the ranks. Chris Wood playing for Nottingham forest in Englands premier league will be just the start.

  Just wow guys. I stopped watching when it was still 1 - 1 because I knew we were going to lose. They started the game with the right attitude but then the NZ squad just sat back in some kind of weird zone defence and just let Egypt pass the ball around, We were just watching, they had all the posesion. They put a full court press on us and we just gave them sapce in return. I believed in you guys. It was like you gave up even when you were ahead 1-0.

  It amazes me how some kiwi don't like the referee while in fact the only goal New Zealand scored is actually a fould because the attacker benifiting from pulling the defernder to the ground. yet the UAE referee didn't even check the var or wait for VAR confirmation. opposite to what he did with the Egyptian goal. The Kiwi team did play well in the first half. and even that was on short interval. the whole second half they didn't do anything significant and Egypt definitely deserved that win.

  The refereeing was awful. Some of the games at this world cup have become unwatchable because of the obvious fouling that players are being allowed to get away with. There was a blatant foul on Wood, and others, as well as the Ben Old one that were not called. For example Morocco were masters at the pushing, holding, shoves into the back etc that were not called. They were not the only ones. Referees have clearly been told to let games flow, but allowing this fouling to continue is really unfair and wrecking games. Football is starting to look as vicious as rugby! It's not possible to say that Egypt deserved the win when the fouls were not dealt with.
