  The whole Otto thing you mentioned doesn’t make sense to me. Why would anyone think Otto is still the Hand of the King when they find him in the dungeons of The Red Keep?

  If Alucent thought that Otto will be shown mercy after what he did he was delusional, her pact with Rhaenyra extended only to Haelena because she was innocent and herself because she would make Aemond leave and was supposed to make sure Aegon was there so he would be executed. There was never an option of Otto keeping his head.

  In the 3rd episode of HOTD season 2, I remember Alicent telling Rhaenyra in the Sept that “There’s been no mistake, my father’s gone from court, Cole is on the march, Aemond… know what Aemond is…It’s too late Rhaenyra”, so Rhaenyra knows that Otto isn’t at court nor the hand any longer.
